ICC OUTREACH WORKER FOR MEN
Far fewer men than women seek psychological help and at the Inner City Centre it is no different.
Yet men, just as much as women, suffer from stress, relationship difficulties and personal and financial losses, and in the present economic and social climate all these are likely to be on the increase.
We want to do something about this and so we have appointed a part-time Outreach Worker for one year (thanks to a generous donation from the Goldsmiths' Company) to look into how we can increase access to therapy for men.
In the first phase, we shall seek the views of our existing referral network, and later we hope to develop ways to broaden and encourage access to therapy, especially for young males, and black and minority ethnic males.
