What we do with our Funds

Over the past years, our fundraising has helped pay for two consulting rooms in the City area. These enable people who live or work in the inner city to attend sessions more easily. We have also received funds to help pay for a part-time administrator and for our two Referral Therapists, who are the first point of contact for people in distress.

This improved website has also been largely paid for with funds received from loyal supporters of the ICC and its work.

We are always trying to reach people who might not know where to get help, or who might think therapy is not for them. Young men and people from black and minority ethnic communities are traditionally under-represented in talking therapy services and we want to find more imaginative ways of reaching them. We hope the website will help and we are looking at other initiatives as well.

How we monitor outcomes in our work

We produce an annual statistical report that enables us to monitor progress in achieving our aims of reaching our target populations and providing an effective service. We review our work using CORE (Clinical Outcomes for Routine Evaluation), a clinical audit system used in the NHS, which measures the changes and improvements brought about by psychotherapy.
